Summary

Resident smart-ass of Varos's leading magical academy, Bixby certainly makes his presence known. He's a mage in training with a passion for academics, and takes a particular interest in the arcane and the art of writing spells and binding spellbooks. Rather than following in his arcana-wielding rune knight mother's footsteps, he wants to become some kind of arcane historian. Someone to catalogue the powerful magicks and exploits of the world's most famous wizards. Or a fancy librarian as his friends put it, though Bixby swears that organizing and keeping magical books and pictures is way different from organizing and keeping normal books and pictures.

Bixby and his small group of friends—Baby, Amphitrite, Daisy, and himself—all attend the Varos Magical Academy, and with it comes a shocking amount of danger. While the Cult of Caedes may have been defeated and disbanded, the legions of Shadow Demons it commanded remain. Though the responsible adults should be the ones dealing with the fallout, sometimes meddling students who just can't help but to stick their noses where they shouldn't. Especially students who claim that one of his magic professors totally knows more about the demons than he lets on...

Personality

As stated before, Bixby is rather intelligent and likes to flaunt it. He's snarky and a little full of himself at times, and is fairly skilled in arcana. Maybe not the best at casting it, but he has a penchant for sniffing magic out and being able to accurately identify it. A useful skill, though his perception and hunger for knowledge is quite... annoying to a certain professor of magic who may or may not be hiding things from his students. Though his arrogance and intellectual ego can be pretty off-putting, Bixby is a good kid at heart. An often insufferably annoying kid, but still a good kid. He's studious, always strives for perfection, and accepts nothing less on his report cards than an A. Though he could be described as a bit of a rules lawyer and someone who generally tries to follow said rules, it's not uncommon for his thirst for knowledge and general nosiness to get the better of him, dragging himself and his friends into some occasionally very messy situations that could've probably been avoided if he just kept his head down and stayed quiet. Granted, what kind of aspiring scholar would sit there and swallow their questions and curiosity?
