Summary
Maxi is... well, Maxi. He is hard to pin down exactly who, or what, he is. A sorcerer capable of rivaling even the most powerful mages in sheer firepower, yet he seems content in doing his own thing. His eccentric and energetic demeanor and appearance hides something far more sinister, however, that Maxi doesn't fully understand himself.
He is a wandering soul, a person with no place among the living or the dead. Given Bahamut's blessing after dying in his original timeline, he slipped through the cracks and ended up trapped in an endless cycle of death. He is effectively immortal, but what's the point of immortality if every time you cheat death you end up in an alternate timeline and everything from your previous life is lost? Maxi simply wants to find a way to stop this cycle and return to his life and friends he's lost time and time again.
Of course, there is more than meets the eye. Maxi knows that he was a clone meant for menial tasks in his original timeline, and that Bahamut gave him her blessing when he died. What he doesn't know is exactly what the clones were made for, what Bahamut's blessing really was, or if he's even human in the slightest.
Personality
Maxi is a very... eccentric man. He is very unpredictable and impulsive. He can be rather blunt and fairly unnerving with his lack of filter and a very intense stare, though he usually means no real harm. He's rather sarcastic and will often end up in arguments with those he perceives as having higher authority than himself, one of those types who would've always been arguing with the teacher in school. His mood has a tendency to swing rather hard at times too. He's kind of a mess. Though he seems rather lazy with his habit of doing everything except what he's supposed to be doing, he is genuinely hard working when he needs to be or is interested in something. He is very intelligent, though it's all academic intelligence. He's the smartest idiot you will ever meet, for lack of better term. He is loyal to a fault, and though he has a very hard time showing it he will do everything he can to keep those he considers friends safe even if it would cause harm to himself. Despite his tendency to push everyone possible away from himself and to be an absolute ass, deep down he really, truly, just wishes to be loved and cared for.

Trivia
- Maxi has no pulse or heartbeat and doesn't appear to breathe when unconscious. He also almost never blinks and is always very cold to the touch, like a corpse. Probably because he kind of is a corpse.
- His magic generally manifests as small, blue, glowing butterflies, and sometimes they just appear around him due to the sheer amount of magic he contains.
- He is ambidextrous, though favors his left hand for most things.
- He lacks the ability to taste! Unfortunate.
- He is lactose intolerant and will die if he thinks too hard about milk. This also has never particularly stopped him from doing stupid dairy-related things. You'd think the lack of a sense of taste would dissuade him...

Design notes
- Uncannily long limbs. He is a very lanky man.
- Very unhinged. Literally insane. There are thoughts behind his eyes but they sure aren't normal
- His canine teeth are much sharper than a normal person's. He also has a bite force way, way stronger than a normal human's for some ungodly reason.
- Bluish silver mouth/tongue, bright cyan blue blood/guts.
- Please don't forget his mole by his mouth it's a charm point.
- Butterflies are an important motif for him! His magic often manifests as blue and white flames and small, glowing butterflies.
