Summary
Once upon a time, an eel had a dream. Inspired by scraps of trash that would drift to the bottom of the ocean of anime keychains and half disintegrated manga of the surface world, this eel made the journey to land to become an idol of her own. Instead, she ended up working fast food as her day job because you can't exactly become a popstar or a hit streamer overnight just by being a cute catgirl. Life doesn't work like that, unfortunately.
Unagi now lives on the surface, carving her way through life as a fairly popular vtuber and streamer when she's not working shifts as a fry cook at Crusty's Fish n' Chips. Her viewers are all under the assumption that her strange and... fishy appearance is simply part of her vtuber act, and are none the wiser to the fact that she is quite literally catfishing them. Well, eel-cat-fishing them. She has a love for modern gaming and anime, and though she doesn't get to keep much money between taxes, having to pay for her vtubing equipment, and doing what she can to turn her run down beach shack into a proper home, she adores buying up all the anime merch and cool new games she can get her hands on.
Personality
Unagi has quite a bit of personality packed into her. She lives to have fun and to see all there is to see on the surface world. She is ambitious, and dreams of being famous. They are also very naive and clueless about how the surface works and how to not look stupid, and as such they aren't the most self aware at times. They are very extroverted, and she loves making friends and talking with others. Her cheerful and talkative attitude helps quite a bit in making a name for herself in the online world, and she is known as a friendly face to others to look to when they need a bit of cheering up. Unagi is always happy to help, and is always very happy to entertain chat.
Uniquely, due to the fact that she is really a 4 headed eel monster piloting one body, her tail and ears (being the heads of her conjoined sisters) are noticably different in personality, being much more stand-offish. Though they generally do not speak or do much aside from pretending to not be eels, every so often they can be caught glaring into the camera and generally being... not the happiest of clams.

Trivia
- On the very rare occasion one of her conjoined sisters do speak and drop their cover, they tend to refer to both themselves and Unagi herself with "Us" or "We".
- The names of the eels making up Unagi: are Ichi/Unagi (primary head, the one doing all the talking and the only one not visible), Ni (tail), San (right ear), and Shi (left ear).
- Despite pretending to be a cat, Unagi isn't great at acting cat-like. They are very fond of water and citrus, which cats usually aren't.

Design notes
- Her ears and tail have their own personalities! Her ears (San and Shi) tend to look pretty miserable, while her tail (Ni) is a menace and full of absolute malice compared to Unagi's friendly and outgoing nature.
- The stripes on her face are markings!
